Never saw the fascianation with the character myself. Do-gooders are always dull. Ones with lycra fetishes even more so.
Batman, OTOH, threw the odd low punch when nobody was looking...
Why it was made in the first place is beyond me. But then, the world is a strange place. Nobody was asking for The Fantastic Four, The Punisher or all the other superhero flops either.
Far and away the best superhero movie of the last decade is The Incredibles, and that's because it had an adult depth to it. And humour.
Still, it's gainful employment and there's the artistic and technical accomplishments, so it's not all bad.
Yeah I don't get the Superman thing, either. I'll take Batman or the X-Men any day over Clark Kent (unless, of course, Teri Hatcher is Lois Lane, then I'd have to think about it).
Didn't see the movie and probably won't, for that matter.
