insert witty title here.
(a) Superman Returns is rapidly approaching 'drop dead' for delivery. This means we're cranking up the working hours, and have been for a while. Better to do constant 50-60 hours weeks than kill yourself with the 100 hour crush in the last month.
(b) Concurrently, I'm coordinating and editing an entirely CGI trailer. Again, hours go up (and will even more, as this won't be due until a month after the uberboy movie)...
yet the real problem was...
(c) Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords. I bought an X-Box early in the year, cause I wanted a great way to switch off my mind sometimes. I hate it when I've had a really busy day and I try to enjoy a play or a movie, and instead am completely distracted by whatever is happening in my head. By nature of being interactive, games force me to stop thinking about work. This is a Good Thing™. Predominately, most of the games I have are the kind of actioney games which you may play for an hour before you get bored. Not so with KOTOR2. I played the original and got completely addicted (played through 30 hours in 2 weeks, whyile working full time)... and the same thing happened here... and it was a BIGGER game. It took me 50 in game hours to complete (I'm thorough). WOW! Anyway, I finally finished it tonight and I"m relieved. My life can return, just in time for crunchHell (alluded to above). There are some observations I will make about the game, gaming, and Star Wars... but they'll wait until later. Right now, I'm going to go and watch Battlestar Galactica.
* Yes, I made that up. Deal.
