Buffy. RIP.
I'm looking forward to buying Season 7 on DVD watching it (once I've finished Season 5, which has been on hiatus with Season 7's screening, and then finish the dready season 6) and then starting all over at the beginning.
Amazing stuff, really.
I was going to rank the seasons of Buffy... but they've all got something new and important and interesting about them. My least favourite was Season 6, but it was deliberately an unlikeable season... and to be honest, I c ould actually relate to its quartercentury angst...
I found this nice quote on the talkbacks at AICN -- very very odd to find a nice quote in there of all places.
Its credited toa poster called Cowgirl Bebop:
Beautiful episode; maybe a few flaws that were entirely made up for with references to Trogdoor the Burninator, the last exchange between Buff and Spike, and the way the camera swirled around the gang in Sunnydale High with all the fever and wit and spunk that the show used to breathe... 'used to' isn't a bad thing, either, because Buffy evolved into something different (more mature, more elegant, sexy, and dark) and those that couldn't handle it just bitched and bitched and bitched. But I've always loved the show, and though it's different now, the finale brought it full circle. Thanks Whedon. RIP dearest Anya. And Herc, I'll [we'll] miss the Buffy reviews.
