skinning the puppy

i'm very much enjoying the new SP album. for some reason, its a repeat listener. there's a quality to it -- an energy -- which waas somewhat lacking on the Process... and it IS a more accessible album than TDP or LR, which require you to be in the right mood to listen to their great wall's of static.

pet peeves:

1. protools putting its 'digidesign database' on every single connected disk. means i can't easily eject my iPod without quitting ProTools. stupid program. id on't even really use its browser function, so why can't i disable it? ergh. at least i'm becoming the king of compressing using busses. next i'll start using side chains from heavily eq'ed dialogue tracks and get a wicked good compression happening.

2. people linking to images on my site with taglines 'mood:ihatethis' but not explainign why or where its from. it was an innocent picture of bolts. wtf is your problem with it? pesky teenagers.

3. the metallic taste of the tapwater at work. it tastes like it could be from adelaide. ergh.
