i call myself a liberal then (want to)* privatise a government monopoly without breaking it up.

i think that pretty much summarises the howard government. they're not liberals, they're conservative centralists who use their rhetoric of choice as a guise to seal their desire for control against criticism.

sigh. if there was a TRUE liberal/libertarian party, i'd vote for them over labor/libs.

* its only a matter of time now, with their majority in their senate.
